ANNUAL HIGH SCHOOL ESSAY CONTEST

September 8, 2026 by Sigma Tau Chapter

ANNUAL HIGH SCHOOL ESSAY CONTEST

Lead. Inspire. Uplift.

Every year, the Sigma Tau Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. invites high school students to put their voice on paper and their future on the record. This isn’t a contest about who writes the prettiest sentence. It’s about who’s paying attention, thinking for themselves, and willing to say something worth reading.

Write your best 700 to 750 words. Show us how you think. We’ll take it from there.

Why This Contest Exists

Scholarship, leadership, and community uplift aren’t just words on a shield, they’re the standard Omega Psi Phi has held for over a century. This essay contest is one way we put that standard into practice: real dollars, real recognition, and a real audience for students who are ready to be heard.

No gimmicks, no shortcuts. Just an honest chance for a student to be recognized for original thinking.
